Terms of Service

1. The service

Majamaja offers Korean lessons, review tools, TOPIK practice, AI conversation partners and AI writing feedback (Han‑ssaem's writing notes, Ask Han‑ssaem).

All conversation partners and teachers in the service are AI characters. AI feedback is checked automatically but can still be wrong; it is a learning aid, not an official assessment. TOPIK scores shown in practice are estimates and are not official results.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 14 years old (16 in the EU/UK) to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login secure.

You can use part of the service without an account; your progress is then stored only on your device.

3. Plans, prices and payment

We offer a free plan, paid subscriptions (Basic, Plus), TOPIK courses and writing-check top-up packs. Current prices and limits are shown on the Pricing page. Prices differ by region and are fixed list prices for that region.

Orders are processed by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all orders. Paddle handles payments, sales tax/VAT, invoices and refunds.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.

Daily limits (for example writing checks and questions) reset every day and unused daily amounts do not carry over. Top-up checks do not expire while your account is active.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break or overload it, no automated scraping, no use of the AI features for anything other than learning Korean, and no harmful, hateful or illegal content.

We may limit or suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. Content and intellectual property

Lessons, audio, characters, illustrations and software belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own learning only.

Text you write stays yours. You allow us to process it to give you feedback and to keep your learning history.

6. Changes and availability

We improve the service continuously and may change features. If we make a change that significantly reduces a paid feature, we will tell you in advance.

We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee the service will always be uninterrupted.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law in your country.

8. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence. Questions: support@majamaja.app.
